Ken La Spada is the co-founder and Principal of SPC, where he manages various aspects of the company, including strategic planning, business development, preconstruction, and client satisfaction. Ken’s passion for construction emerged early in his career while working for a large commercial general contractor on building renovations and ground-up projects.
Ken founded SPC with Cary Gerhardt in 1980, which is now a top commercial interior contractor in Los Angeles. With 48 years of experience in the industry, he leads the SPC team in delivering preconstruction and construction services to clients across Greater Los Angeles. He focuses on providing conceptual estimating and value engineering solutions to meet project objectives within budget and schedule constraints.
Ken takes pride in promoting professional growth within the team members at SPC where they have started as tradespeople on SPC job sites and have risen to key management positions. He attributes this success to SPC’s supportive, team-oriented culture, which he believes will drive the company’s mission of “building great places to conduct business” well into the future.

Cary is a co-founder of SPC and a third-generation builder with a broad range of experience and accomplishments. Prior to co-founding SPC, Cary began his career with a respected general contracting firm in Southern California. He has a notable 44-year history of providing excellent customer service while maintaining a focus on operational strategy.
Cary takes pride in building challenging projects with a team of highly educated and talented employees who have been with SPC for more than four decades. He is also a LEED® accredited professional, reflecting his commitment to sustainable and environmentally responsible practices in the construction industry.
Playing a vital role in the company’s day-to-day operations, he collaborates closely with estimating, project management, and accounting, actively engaging in every aspect of the business. Cary is very detail-oriented, ensuring consistency throughout the construction process, from preconstruction to the punch list. He strives to maintain the company’s dedication to providing excellent customer service.

Gail Eglitis is an experienced Project Executive and Controller at SPC, with over 40 years of industry experience. She plays a vital role in overseeing all operational aspects of the company, and has been integral in driving SPC’s success.
Gail collaborates closely with the estimating, project management, and finance teams to ensure SPC maintains its consistent commitment to exceptional customer service and operationally efficiency.
