SPC’s construction services for Ares Management’s new Culver City headquarters was dedicated to transforming a LEED Gold certified Class A building into a stunning showcase of high-end features. The design, spread across two floors, focused on creating a spacious and inviting environment with tall exposed ceilings and large perimeter windows that flood the space with natural light. One of the most striking features is the expansive interior balcony which offers a panoramic view of the reception and conference areas. Overcoming unique obstacles such as working with a post-tension slab and integrating an access floor system for HVAC, the team implemented innovative solutions like curved radius stairs with glass handrails and custom wood window frames. The use of custom materials, such as the curved glass stair elements fabricated by one of only two facilities in the country, highlights the project’s unwavering dedication to architectural excellence and functionality.
