The permanent exhibition of the Claudia and Nelson Peltz Social Lab at the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles is an immersive 10,000-square-foot interactive gallery at the museum’s main level. The space presents 15 distinct areas that promote tolerance and inclusion in a vibrant, informative, and exciting environment. It aims to engage individuals from Generation X to Generation Z, covering topics such as anti-Semitism, racism, extremism, and climate change. Project highlights include installing translucent veils made of metal coils hanging from the ceiling creating partitions between different areas. These mesh-like dividers also serve as screens for projecting films and other media. Additionally, a 70-foot-long chamber named We the People LED touch-screen panels to highlight the state of tolerance and diversity throughout various periods in American history. The design focuses on being a museum of the present, continuously updating current events into the projection stream, future-proofing the space for generations to come.
